The introduction of social transfers in kind (STiK) estimates complements current existing products, notably household final consumption and household disposable income. By adding STiK to these products, we now obtain household actual final consumption and household adjusted disposable income.
Household actual final consumption
Household actual final consumption (HAFC) is an expansion on household final consumption expenditure and both frameworks are based off the SNA 2008. The presentation of HAFC is grouped into blocks of data that correspond to the SNA 2008 definition of HAFC, which is the sum of household final consumption expenditure, individual consumption of goods and services from government, and individual consumption of goods and services from non-profit institutions serving households (NPISH).
Note that only categories that have social transfer in kind attributed to them, will be affected and have a value of HAFC that is greater than HFCE. The next table presents the table that is available for household actual final consumption.

Adjusted household disposable income
Another use of STiK is to allow an alternative presentation of income and saving of households. The adjusted household disposable income (AHDI) expands on household disposable income. Household disposable income focuses on disposable income and the expenditure on goods and services met out of that income whereas adjusted household disposable income focuses on the household consumption of goods and services that is met by either expenditure or by STiK. Adjusted household disposable income is calculated as disposable income plus STiK.
Household saving is the same whether it is calculated using household disposable income or adjusted household disposable income. This is because when using adjusted household disposable income to derive household net savings, STiK is added and subsequently removed when subtracting household actual final consumption, where STiK is embedded. The following table summarizes how adjusted household disposable incomeI is presented.
