Description: This study uses pooled data from the Canadian Social Survey collected from 2021 to 2025 to better understand the lived experiences of 2SLGBTQ+ people in Canada. It explores differences in well-being, including life satisfaction, sense of belonging to a local community and hopefulness for the future, between 2SLGBTQ+ and non-2SLGBTQ+ people. The study also examines the forms and contexts of discrimination most commonly experienced by 2SLGBTQ+ people. Particular attention is paid to how intersecting characteristics, such as age, Indigenous identity, race, disability, educational attainment and geographic location, are associated with these experiences.
